Hounds of the Baskerville
Our friend M came to visit and wanted to see the moors. There was much talk about Jane Eyre and the Hound of the Baskervilles. The hike was loads of fun, the moors were beautiful and a good time was had by all.
The cist and stone circle we are sitting around was from the medieval village ruins built near hounds tor back in the "day" circa 1300AD.
We saw in the book that the above is a cist and stone circle. We thought cist meant cistern, but after a bit of research it was determined to be a repository for the dead.

Hanko watching our six for the Hound of the Baskerville!
Guess he didn't seem it because he thought it safe enough to splash in the mud puddles.

The boys!
The clever "Hound of the Basket Meal" mobile restaurant. Great tea, but do NOT ask for a cheese and onion roll. Unlike the idea of a warm roll with melted cheese and fried onions, it was actually a hamburger bun with a wedge of cheese and a giant slice of onion tucked in.
