Frog Release

All of our tadpoles babies have grown up and moved on to the next phase of their lives as frogs in our pond.  Everyone was a little bit excited and a little bit sad to let them all go, but they were all grown up.

The Husband decided to document the frog release.  Sophia remained interested, but after we were finished holding them, Hank was no longer interested.  I love how she has her arm around me, not sure if it because she loves me, she is trying to see better, or to balance herlsef so she doesn't fall into the pond.  Either way, it is cute.

There was one frog who refused to leave the tank and had to be flushed out with pond water.  Hopefully they all escaped the newts and birds to go on to be happy frogs.  While weeding the roses behind the pond the other day we found a little frog hiding under the moss.  I prefer to believe he was one of our frogs and covered him up with the moss again.

The kids were really interested in the tadpole/frog project.  They both loved to feed them and watch them.  Hank would stand and watch them forever and didn't quite know what to do with himself when they were gone.  I have promised to get them a beta fish at some point, but haven't made it happen yet.
