In and Out

When little kids are learning a new skill they repeat the action or concept over and over and over and over again. The Little Bean is no different. For a while she would open and close everything she could. The bathroom door was a big hit because it didn't latch. She was also a big fan of the toilet until she smashed her fingers as she was closing it. Now, she steers clear of that one.

The new skill that she is learning is to put one object inside another object. She is completely obsessed with this. It makes me laugh when she puts a block or ball into something and then closes it. A few seconds later she will open it up and be thrilled to discover that the ball or block is still there.

This putting things into other things has extended to her putting herself into things. The other day she climbed into her little potty. This morning, she folded herself s that she was sitting inside the dog bowl. In the photo below, you can see that she has gotten inside the drawer. The problem came when she wanted out, but couldn't manage to extricate herself!
One of her favorite things in the house is the dishwasher. When the dishes are clean, she is allowed to get the silverware out. Usually, most of it ends up on the floor, but today, she decided to put the silverware in her drawer. She is such a helper!
On a different note, what is up with that hair!?!?!
